We’re excited to welcome Manny to the Taylex Group team! With over 12 years of experience in exhibitions and events, Manny brings a wealth of knowledge spanning custom exhibition stand builds, trade show displays, and collaborations with global brands like Monster Energy, Jet2, Holland & Barrett, and Schaeffler. His hands-on industry experience gives him a unique perspective on how the exhibition stand design landscape has evolved and where it’s headed.

Having spent a part of his career at the NEC Birmingham—one of the UK’s busiest exhibition and event venues—Manny has developed an in-depth understanding of the industry from multiple angles.

“Working at the NEC gave me invaluable experience in how exhibitions and live events come together, not just from the exhibitor and contractor side but also from a venue operations perspective. I’ve seen firsthand the logistical challenges, the priorities of event managers, and the evolving needs of venues across the UK and Europe. That broader view allows me to anticipate what’s required to make a stand not just visually striking, but also practical, efficient, and compliant with venue expectations,” he explains.

Sitting down with Manny, we discussed how the industry has transformed over the past decade. From his perspective, one of the most significant shifts has been the increasing demand for immersive, bespoke exhibition stands.

“Exhibitions used to be about showcasing products in a static way—now it’s about engagement. Brands want to create interactive spaces that invite visitors in, spark conversations, and leave a lasting impression. The competition on the show floor has never been fiercer, so companies are investing more in high-impact, custom-built exhibition stands that tell a story,” he says.

Sustainability is another key area of growth. “There’s a huge push for sustainable solutions in exhibition stand design—clients want materials that can be repurposed, modular structures that reduce waste, and production methods that minimize environmental impact. Manny also notes a shift in what corporate clients are looking for. “There’s a real focus on ROI—clients aren’t just looking for something visually impressive; they want measurable engagement, lead generation, and post-event impact.
