Behind The Scenes with Taylex Group

The August Edition

August 2025

From UK Festival Season to Equestrian Championships

From iconic UK festivals and equestrian championships to international exhibitions and creative brand activations, August was packed with standout projects and September is shaping up to be even bigger. Our team continues to grow, with a new Client Lead and Development Manager joining our Retail Interiors Division as we deliver high-profile fit-out projects across the UK. In Europe, our teams are preparing for multiple projects in Frankfurt and Munich, while in the Middle East we’ve begun build and planning as the official build partner for World Stage Design the sixth edition, and the first ever to be hosted in the region.

UK Festival Season

For the third year running, we delivered the cladding and structures, grandstand seating, and VIP hospitality areas for BST Hyde Park 2025. With ten intensive build days, meticulous logistics and planning, and a large team on the ground, our operations and delivery crews ensured everything came together seamlessly.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Longines Global Champions Tour

We’re excited to share the story behind one of our recent successes, the build for the Longines Global Champions Tour at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London — as a new case study.

When the event came to the historic Royal Hospital Chelsea, we were asked to do what we do best: deliver a complex, large-scale build with precision, speed, and quality.

With short lead times, strict heritage site rules, and the need to create high-end spaces for VIP guests, hospitality suites, shopping villages, and broadcast areas, this wasn’t just about building structures — it was about delivering an experience that matched the elegance of the Longines brand.

The Longines Global Champions Tour brought the world’s best equestrian talent to the historic Royal Hospital Chelsea, and we were tasked with delivering the event’s high-end temporary structures cladding.

The challenge? Short lead times, complex heritage site restrictions, and large-scale premium requirements for VIP areas, hospitality suites, shopping villages, and broadcast facilities.

Our operations, logistics, and build teams worked in unison to overcome these challenges from prefabricating modular steel frames off-site for rapid installation, to creating bespoke cladding solutions that delivered both durability and luxury finishes. Every element was coordinated to the minute, ensuring a seamless build with zero compromise on quality.

The result? A flawless transformation of a London landmark into a world-class sporting stage delivered ahead of schedule, to luxury standards, and designed for future reuse.

Global Arabian Champions Tour

When the prestigious Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT) arrived in London for the first time, our team was tasked with transforming the Royal Hospital Chelsea from one world-class event into another, all in just four days.

Fresh from delivering the Longines Global Champions Tour at the same venue, we de-rigged, reconfigured, and re-clad the entire site to create a unique stage for the Global Champions Arabian tour.

The project faced an ultra-tight schedule, with only four days to complete the full turnaround from the Longines Global Champions Tour de-rig to Global Champions Arabians Tour readiness, while also delivering a distinct layout and aesthetic that included: new entrance banners and graphics, new graphics for the roof of the hospitality marquee all new internal.

Cloudscape at The Mailbox

We delivered the build for On Cloud 9 brand experience installation at Mailbox Birmingham, created with Opus Art and artist Lorna Rees. A beautiful example of creative placemaking done right.

Taylex Group collaborated with Opus Art and artist Lorna Rees, creator of Cloudscapes, to produce and install On Cloud 9, a bespoke cloud‑gazing installation at Mailbox Birmingham Canalside. Commissioned by Mailbox Birmingham and developed by Outdoor Places Unusual Spaces, the project aimed to translate Lorna’s immersive Cloudscapes experience into a public context—bringing tranquillity, wonder, and creative placemaking to an everyday urban setting.

It was designed to offer visitors a ten‑minute audiovisual retreat—listening via QR‑linked audio while gazing at the ever‑changing sky above, encouraging mindfulness, reflection, and connection to nature.
