About World Stage Design 2025

World Stage Design (WSD) is an international exhibition and festival celebrating excellence in scenography, stage, lighting, sound, and production design. Hosted for the first time in the Middle East, WSD 2025 will bring together artists, designers, and educators from across the globe, transforming Sharjah into a vibrant hub of creative exchange, innovation, and performance design.

The festival aims to inspire the next generation of creative professionals, highlighting how heritage, innovation, and collaboration can shape the future of live performance and production design on a global scale.

Three Venues. One Vision.

Taylex Group Middle East will deliver WSD 2025 across three distinct Sharjah venues, each reflecting the region’s culture, heritage, and forward-thinking creativity:

Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA)
As the Middle East’s only dedicated performing arts academy, SPAA nurtures the next generation of creative leaders in performance and production arts. Taylex’s build approach here is precision-led and adaptive, designed to integrate with an active academic environment while delivering high-quality staging, exhibition, and technical infrastructure for a global festival.

Bait Obaid Al Shamsi
A beautifully restored 19th-century heritage home in Al Shuwaiheen, Bait Obaid Al Shamsi celebrates Sharjah’s artistic and cultural roots. Taylex’s team ensures careful, heritage-sensitive construction, blending contemporary exhibition design with the venue’s historic significance while maintaining the integrity of its architecture.

Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP)
SRTIP is a leading hub for innovation, sustainability, and research-driven design. Taylex’s modular, adaptable build system allows installations to integrate seamlessly within this forward-thinking environment, supporting bold, technology-led creativity while ensuring efficient, scalable, and flexible construction across the venue.

Together, these venues reflect Sharjah’s commitment to creativity, culture, and sustainable progress, values deeply shared by both WSD and Taylex Group Middle East.

Taylex Group is delivering over 80% of the WSD 2025 event build using fully sustainable materials and methods, powered by the reusable beMatrix frame system. This approach drastically reduces waste, minimizes environmental impact, and demonstrates that sustainability can elevate creativity rather than limit it.

The build includes 450 beMatrix frames, ranging from small panels measuring 992mm x 496mm up to large-format frames of 2976mm x 992mm, including curved sections and a wide variety of shapes.

These frames connect via tool-less pin-and-cam locks and quick-fit corners, allowing for clean, fast, and modular assembly with minimal mess on site.

In total, the project brought together 118,880 individual components, engineered for precision, adaptability, and reusability. Spanning 3,847m² of floor space, the build demonstrates both the scale of the event and Taylex’s commitment to responsible, sustainable construction practices.

From heritage spaces to innovation hubs, Taylex Group Middle East brings together craftsmanship, sustainability, and creative excellence — delivering a cohesive vision across all three venues. Behind every stage is a story of collaboration, technical expertise, and bold design, showing how large-scale events can be responsible, modular, and future-ready.

The project highlights Taylex’s unique position in the Middle East, combining local knowledge with international experience in exhibition, live event, and brand experience delivery. As the exclusive beMaster Partner for beMatrix, Taylex is able to lead in smart, reusable, and modular design, ensuring sustainable outcomes without compromising creative vision.

Behind the Build

Bringing WSD 2025 to life in Sharjah is a true collaborative effort. Taylex works closely with SPAA, Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, SRTIP, and WSD’s international team to create an event that celebrates creativity while redefining how it is built.

The reusable beMatrix system allows Taylex to construct complex, multi-venue installations without tools, reducing time, mess, and waste while maintaining precision and durability. This approach ensures the festival is environmentally responsible, supports innovative stage and exhibition design, and creates spaces that inspire, connect, and endure
